* The result of the 2009 CALIFORNIA GOLD invitational was more successful than ever imagined. Emails from players continue to come in as numerous success stories emerge. It is a credit to the effort and passion that all these players displayed. According to multiple college coaches, CALIFORNIA GOLD recruiting invitational has elevated itself above all others in the west from a credibility, quality and productivity standpoint. My objective is to keep pushing the bar upward and provide the level of value all participants are looking for. * List of colleges that attendend CALIFORNIA GOLD in 2009.

* 2010 CALIFORNIA GOLD will again be sponsored by NIKE! What a tremendous privilege it is to align with such a powerful and professional brand like Nike. They are sure to add tremendous value to CALIFORNIA GOLD and all those who participate. * TRYOUTS FOR 2010: An invitation to CALIFORNIA GOLD for 2010 will be more difficult to attain than last. This year, besides California players, OR, WA, AZ and UT players are now also eligible for tryouts. This will certainly raise the bar of talent at tryouts and ultimately the event itself. Only an estimated 108 players will be chosen. The quality and value of this event for both coaches and players will continue to go upwards each and every year. All players must earn an invitation to CALIFORNIA GOLD by participating in a tryout. There will be three locations for tryouts. One day of tryouts held in Southern California, one day in Northern California and one up in Oregon. You can only attend one tryout. There is a $25 registration fee for all players who tryout. All players must be recommended by a coach to tryout. You will be asked during the registration process the name and contact information of that coach.

* 2010 TRYOUT DATES: (For ‘CALIFORNIA” players only) -SoCal on January 23rd 2010 at La Costa Canyon High School. 9:00am – 4:00pm. More details regarding format as we get closer. -Norcal on January 24th 2010 at San Ramon Valley High School. 9:00am – 4:00pm. More details regarding format as we get closer. -Oregon on January 30th at Oregon Episcopal School. 9:00am – 4:00pm More details regarding the format as we get closer * It is imperative that each and every player recommended by a coach to tryout. Despite any potential conflict with the tryout date, you still MUST register if you have been recommended. This includes all recommended players participating in another sport. Registered players not able to attend tryouts will be put into the “alternate” category. This category will be reviewed and considered before final invitations go out. Final invitations to CALIFORNIA GOLD will go out within a few weeks after tryouts. At that time, those players will be asked to officially go on line and register for the event. * DATES of 2010 CALIFORNIA GOLD: July 14th and 15th 2010 * GRADE ELIGIBILITY: Rising Sophomores thru rising Seniors entering Fall of 2010 * LOCATION: Osage Station Park, Danville California
